Power BI Desktop August 2016 Feature Summary

It’s time for a new monthly Power BI update! And like every month there are tons and tons of new features available.

Reading through the post none of the new updates in particularly stand out for me. I guess these updates basically boils down to a more cleaner and easier experience. But overall it’s a solid update.

The two features that will probably make my life easier would be the ability to control the conditional formatting colors on the KPI visual and re-ordering fields in charts and tool tips. But does these updates really get my blood pumping? No. The ability to use R scripts in Query Editor feature from last month got me more exited, even though it’s a feature that I’d probably never use.

So, I’ll probably won’t be posting a blog dedicated to one specific feature of this update.
